Editor’s Note

The publisher MUZAIOS has decided to publish an online journal HEKSIS, which refers to its printed version /HEKSIS No. 0/1995(1) – 4/2000(25)/ - ISSN 1234-2114

HEKSIS will be published as a Polish-English quarterly. The editorial staff’s intention is to begin a discussion on contemporary problems in the light of new theories of scientific and cultural transgressions.  

The thematic scope of HEKSIS will be philosophy /the subject, knowledge and cognition/, the arts /music, painting, sculpture, visual arts and dance/ and science /medicine, psychology and education/. We will attempt to pursue what is neglected in the mainstream line of the contemporary Polish and European humanities. 

Thanks to the publication of interdisciplinary research we hope to show its contradictive, disparate and diverse perspectives and possibilities of its description.
